Sitting in church waiting for the celebration service to begin, I hear the door creak open. Many of the parisheners are talking as they enter while their shoes rustle along the carpet and the women's skirts swoosh as the fabric rubs against their slip on their way to a seat. Some quietly sit but coughs in deep voice while a women clears her throat up front. The organist and the rest of the ensemble are practicing and you can hear the instruments being tuned up in the front of the church. Thank goodness the air conditioner is working and you can hear and feel the air being pushed thoughout the room.
The conductor picks up the microphone to annouce the beginning of the service. The drummer leads off at the signal from the conductor, you can see the sticks raise and fall on the drum, click, click, duh, duh, and soon the rest of the ensemble join in with the piano, brass, guitars, and tambourine. The congregation has been invited to sing the opening hymn listed up on the wall near where the minister will give the sermon. Hymn 546 in the the hymnal. This is a hard one and many voices are off key.

Wooden doors being creaked open. men and women voices are heard, all types of shoes are rustling on carpet. There is fabric swooshing around. A person with a deep voice coughs, a woman clears her throat. Light praise and worship music can be heard in the background. Musical instruments are being tuned, trumpet, guitar, clarinet, piano and organ. Air is being pushed through the room. Mic being picked up, Music starting- drums , click click click click, buh duh buh duh duh duh duh duu... piano, brass, guitars, and tambourine join in.
